Shaban 8- URS Hz Bandagi Miyan Abdul Shukoor RA

Hz Bandagi Miyan Shah Abdul Shukoor RA “Shukoor Miyan Hazrath” is the Great Grandson of “Akmal-Ul-Khulafa” Hz Bandagi Miyan Shah Nizam RZ, the 4th Khalifa of Imamuna Mehdi AS.
His lineage is as follows:
Hz Bandagi Miyan Shah Abdul Shukoor RA S/O, Hz Bandagi Miyan Shah Abdul Majeed RA S/O, Hz Bandagi Miyan Shah Abdul Razzak RA S/O, Hz Bandagi Miyan Shah Nizam RZ “Wahdath-O-Shaam” 4th Khalifa of Imamuna Mehdi AS.
His Grandfather Hz Bandagi Miyan Shah Abdul Razzak RA, the son of Hz Shah Nizam RZ had four sons:
1-Shah Abdul Majeed RA, 2-Shah Rukn Muhammad RA, 3-Shah Abdus Sattar RA and 4-Shah Sharif Muhammad RA
The eldest son Hz Bandagi Miyan Shah Abdul Majeed RA is the father of Hz Bandagi Miyan Abdul Shukoor RA alias “Shukoor Miyan Hazrath”. Moreover his Grandfather Hz Bandagi Miyan Shah Abdul Razzak RA was taught and trained under his father Hz Shah Nizam RZ. He was also a well-known Buzurg of his time and was respected in and around the village of Kadi in Gujrat. He had lots or mureed; he was well versed in Arabic and Persian languages. Hz Shah Abdul Majeed RA the father of Hz Abdul Shukoor RA was also an Allah fearing Buzurg like his elders.
Allah SWT bestowed on Hz Shah Abdul Majeed RA with a son after a long time and the infant was named Abdul Shukoor RA, he was later on came to be known as Shukoor Miyan Hazrath RA. From his childhood he was taught and trained in the precincts of Daira and he received the training of piousness and piety from his home, from his childhood he received the religious knowledge of batin and books. In his childhood he became “Hafiz-E-Quran” and along side he was also well versed with Arabic and Persian Languages like his Grand father. When he was 18 years of age he completed the education process from books. He had the honour to be in the company of great spiritual personality i.e Hz Bandagi Miyan Shah Abdul Kareem RA son of Hz Shah Abdul Lateef RA and Grandson of Hz Shah Nizam RZ.
He migrated from Gujrath enroute Maharashtra and entered Deccan and later established a Daira in Hyderabad Deccan in the village of Chanchalam (now Chanchalguda). It was the time of Mughals and many armymen and commanders were mureed of Hz Shukoor Miyan RA, so during the time of Emperor Jahangir Hz Abdul Shukoor migrated from Gujrath and arrived in Deccan and it was during the reign of Abdullah Qutub Shah’s rule over Golkonda and his Daira in the village Chanchalam (now Chanchalguda). Here also he acquired much respect and honor and people from different walks of life and communities use to flock to his Daira in search of peace, from here his fame spread like anything in those days. Not only the Mehdavis, but also the Non-Mehdavis like Shia’s also visited and listen to his Bayan and desired to be in his company in the Daira. The rules and regulations of his Daira were very strict and nobody from the Daira can venture outside without a valid reason and followed the Sharait very strictly.
Once in the Daira he asked one of his mureed to fetch water for Ablution “Wazu”, his mureed came and informed him that the well has gone dry and not a drop is available, inturn he said Bhai take the name of Allah, go and see now. The mureed went and came back happily carrying a pale of water and said the well is full to its brim. These were just minor incidents and miracles, which occurred unwantedly in the day-to-day life through this noble personality.
Once a mureed Miyan Hyder informed him, Hazrath you know I don’t have any children, please supplicate for me. Inturn, Hz Shukoor Miyan RA said, “May Allah SWT accept your desire”. Due to Allah SWT grace, Miyan Hyder was blessed with a son and he came rushing to his murshid in Daira and gave him the good news. Not only this Miyan Hyder brought “Jau ka Malida” a sweet dish made especially on holy or happy occasions. Miyan Hyder got prepared this Mixture “Malida” of Jau, mixed with Ghee, Sugar and Coconut scrape etc and presented it to his murshid, His Murshid Hz Shukoor Miyan RA got it distributed in the inmates of the daira and the visitors. From that day onwards people whose needs Allah SWT fulfills distribute Malida here in his Payan, this tradition still continues.
It is also recorded that When Hz Bandagi Miran Syed Shah Nusrath RA (of Daira Lalgadi) after migrating from many places came to Hyderabad Deccan and settled for some time in Chanchalguda. Meantime Hz Shukoor Miyan RA got news of his establishing a Daira so he started prepartions for migrating from here, as soon as Hz Shah Nusrath RA came to know about his intention to migrate, he gave basharath and declared that “Inform Shukoor Bhai, he belongs to this soil, instead this Banda is migrating back” after this Hz Syed Shah Nusrath RA ‘Maqsoos-Uz-Zaman’ started migration towards another place. While keeping the word of Hz Shah Nusrath RA, Shukoor Miyan Hazrath RA left the idea of migration and settled back in his Daira in Chanchalguda.
On 8th Shaban 1068H, this noble personality, the Great Grandson of Hz Bandagi Miyan Shah Nizam RZ passed away in the mercy of His Lord and is laid to eternal rest in the precincts of his Daira at Chanchalguda. His Mausoleum is popularly known as “Shukoor Miyan Hazrath ki Payan” which is hardly minutes walk from these 3 sides inside the Chanchalguda i.e from “Masjid-E-Munawwaria”, Khalla Playground and Dabeerpura Flyover Bridge.
